Your guitar is sitting in the closet. Let’s change that!

I stopped planning two-hour practice sessions and started grabbing the neck for just 10 or 15 minutes a day. That is the lowest bar to get started. Once the instrument is in your hands, those fifteen minutes usually turn into thirty, forty, or an hour.

The Philosophy

Why 15 minutes is better than 2 hours

The Problem

Coming back to the guitar after many years can be brutal. We try to start ambitiously with dense courses and heavy music theory. But after a long day of work, exhaustion hits after 8:00 PM. Trying to force yourself into grueling two-hour practice sessions quickly leads to pure burnout. The guitar just goes cold again.

The Shift

The secret is to lower the bar. Throw away the gig bag and keep your instrument on a stand right next to your desk. Do not wait for mythical free time. Just grab the neck for 10 or 15 minutes in between work tasks or late at night in your headphones.

This short, daily practice removes all unnecessary pressure. When you put on your headphones after a hard day of work, fire up the amp, and focus on a new pattern, all the stress evaporates in seconds. It is pure satisfaction.

Workspace

A clean space for your daily session

01

The 15-Minute Timer

The workspace is split into three parts so you do not have to think about what to do next. You get 3 minutes of warm-up with simple drum loops, 5 minutes of fretboard mapping in your key, and 7 minutes of jam session with a YouTube backing track.

02

Activity Grid

A 52-week calendar that shows the days you played. It is just a visual history to help you see your consistency over time.

03

Digital Tuner

A basic tuner that works directly through your browser microphone.

I also make videos on YouTube

I started a YouTube channel to show my progress and talk about my guitar sessions. I post videos about how I build the 15-minute habit, how I learn songs by ear, and what works for me during a busy work week. You can check out the channel to see how I use the app or just to listen to some music.
